• My thanks to Mr. Levin for his outstanding research and website that I use to help us understand the history of our ancestry. Go to http://thisdayinjewishhistory.blogspot.com/ for more information. “For more information about the Weekly Torah Portion or the History of Jewish Civilization go to the Temple Judah Website http://www.templejudah.org/ and open the Adult Education Tab "This Day...In Jewish History " is part of the study program for the Jewish History Study Group in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

• A point of clarification. If anybody wants to get to the Torah site, they do not have to go thru Temple Judah. They can use http://DownhomeDavarTorah.blogspot.com

• and that will take them right to it.

November 13, 1770; We dispatched the young Indian express to Valentine Crawford who had the charge of them to proceed on to that place where we proposed if possible to get the canoe being about 50 miles below. In the afternoon we met 2 battoes and a large canoe going at a very fast rate to the Illinois with provisions for the Garrison at Fort Chartres.[1]

Hi. Hope this finds all well with you. I'm working on my Grandpa (Willis) Goodlove's family again. Realized that I do not have a portrait photo of Willis' brother, Earl Lee. I have one family photo that includes all the children, but would like to have a solo portrait photo of Earl. Do either of you have one that you could share?

As ever, Linda

Linda and Jeff,
I think I might have one of him and wife without the kids but it will take a little time to dig out. I just got a 1928 article from a Wilkinson in Florida that is an article about Earl making and selling butter to folks in Central City. Also has a picture of him holding a Jersey cow with two kids on her back. Best I can compute it is of my dad, Cecil, and uncle, Bill.

Cheers,

Joe

I would love to see that article! Here’s a pic of Great Grampa Earl Lee Goodlove and Great Grandma Fannie Vesta McAtee!
