June 19, 1269: Louis IX (Saint Louis) of France, needing no urging from the Church, ordered all Jews found in public without a badge (yellow or red) to be fined ten livres of silver. The badge in France was usually a circle of red or yellow material and was known as a rouelle. The original badge was actually Moslem in origin (Caliph Omar II (717-20)) who decreed that both Jews and Christians wear a distinguishing mark. The "badge" took on different shapes colors and even dress (i.e. a hat or color of a dress) depending on the country.[1]
1270: In England in 1270 all debts to Jews were declared void, which left many of them penniless, then kicked the Jews out altogether in 1290.[2] Many Christians were forbidden from money-related professions, such as banking and tax collecting. Eastern European Jews often survived by usury and by tax collecting from the peasantry on behalf of the nobility. June 19, 1286: Rabbi Meir of Rothenburg was imprisoned in a castle in Alsace, Lombardy. At the time of his imprisonment, Reb Meir and his followers were trying to leave Germany following a new wave of persecution brought by Rudolph I. “Tradition has it that a large ransom of 23,000 marks (approximately 15,144,900 U.S dollars today) was raised for him (by the ROSH), but Rabbi Meir refused it, for fear of encouraging the imprisonment of other rabbis. He died in prison after seven years. 14 years after his death a ransom was paid for his body by Alexander ben Shlomo (Susskind) Wimpen, who was subsequently laid to rest beside the Maharam.” Reb Meir was also known by the term Maharam. His erudition and piety earned him the appellation, ‘Light of the Exile.’ Meir was a leading commentator on Rashi’s explanations of the Talmud. Such was his reputation that Ashkenazi communities in Italy, France and Germany looked to him for guidance when questions of law and/or custom arose.[6]

It was the intention of Washington and Lord Dunmore, the Governor of Virginia, together to visit Crawford this year (1773); but the death of Miss Custis, Washington's stepdaughter, on June 19, 1773, prevented the journey, and kept him at home.[17]

“The Stint’s Brigade with the Cavalry and all the pickets.
“The baggage wagons went in front of the light corps under Lieutenant Colonel Twisleton. Alter a half hour march the column halted long enough for the second column to close up, while Lieutenant Colonel Stirling’s Brigade covered both flanks.
“Lieutenant Colonel Calder’s Brigade was in the lead, followed by the Hessian Grenadiers, then the English Grenadiers. The English Light Infantry and the Hessian Jaegers formed the rear guard. The wagons were as divided by the other columns.
“During the withdrawal of these two columns, small detachments of the enemy were occasionally seen, which also fired, but from a great distance, on the rear guard. However, they did nothing more and the army arrived unhindered at Brunswick.
“Lord Comwallis’ column camped, part on this side, part on the other side, of Brunswick, and the Jaegers took post beside the Minnigerode Brigade on the road to Bound Brook and in such a manner that they had the Raritan on the left flank. [19]

June 1917: Rural school consolidation had been dislodged from its position atop the reform agenda of Chalice and his Buck Creek followers by the seductive combination of progress, profits, and patriotism. The issue remained alive but dormant. The annual p[icnic at the Buck Creek country school in June 1917 brought it back into the consciousness of at least one of its frustrated proponents in the Buck Creek Church. In commenting on the loss of the school’s popular teacher who found the “work too heavy,” the Buck Creek columnist for the Hopkinton Leader (probably Mrs. Chalice) noted:
How long before the people of this community will wake up. Its hard to tell, but seeing there is no race suicide in this community the time is coming when it will be positively impossible to house and educated the children in a dinky one reoom school. We shall waken up some of these days to find that whilst other children are making progress intellectually our children are lagging behind. You may be surprised to hear that teaching a one room school with eight grades and twenty children is hard work, but al you have to do is to try it and you will be convinced. Well, if you want cheap and inaepuate education held on to your little school.[32]

After reading a June 1939 paper by Siegfried Flügge, on the technical use of nuclear energy from uranium,[11][12] Riehl recognized a business opportunity for the company, and in July he went to the HWA (Heereswaffenamt, Army Ordnance Office) to discuss the production of uranium. The HWA was interested and Riehl committed corporate resources to the task. The HWA eventually provided an order for the production of uranium oxide, which took place in the Auergesellschaft plant in Oranienburg, north of Berlin.[13][14][42]

June 1944: Britain had handed the Luftwaffe its first defeat. Later that year, Hitler ordered an invasion of the USSR, which after initial triumphs turned into an unqualified disaster. As Hitler stubbornly fought to overcome Russia's bitter resistance, the depleted Luftwaffe steadily lost air superiority over Europe in the face of increasing British and American air attacks. By the time of the D-Day invasion of Normandy in June 1944, the Luftwaffe air fleet was a skeleton of its former self.[46]

June 1949: The International Jew is a four volume set of booklets or pamphlets originally published and distributed in the early 1920s by Henry Ford, an American industrialist and automobile manufacturer.
It is to be distinguished from The International Jew: The World's Problem which was the headline in The Dearborn Independent and is the name of a collection of articles serialized in The Dearborn Independent, a newspaper owned by Ford. It is also to be distinguished from the title of the first volume of the series, namely, The International Jew, The World's Foremost Problem (note the absence or presence of the word "Foremost" as the distinguishing mark in the subtitle).
At the Nuremberg Trials, Baldur von Schirach mentioned that The International Jew made a deep impression on him and his friends in their youth and influenced them in becoming antisemitic. He said: "... we saw in Henry Ford the representative of success, also the exponent of a progressive social policy. In the poverty-stricken and wretched Germany of the time, youth looked toward America, and apart from the great benefactor, Herbert Hoover, it was Henry Ford who to us represented America."[1] In 1922, the New York Times reported that Adolf Hitler's office contained a large picture of Ford.[2] A well-thumbed copy of the International Jew was found in his library.[2]

Jewish Jazz—Moron Music—Becomes Our National Music (Volume 3) - August 6, 1921
A libel lawsuit, brought by San Francisco lawyer and Jewish farm cooperative organizer Aaron Sapiro in response to antisemitic remarks, led Ford to close the Independent in December 1927. News reports at the time quoted him as being shocked by the content and having been unaware of its nature. During the trial, the editor of Ford's "Own Page", William John Cameron, testified that Ford had nothing to do with the editorials even though they were under his byline. Cameron testified at the libel trial that he never discussed the content of the pages or sent them to Ford for his approval.[4]
Investigative journalist Max Wallace noted that "whatever credibility this absurd claim may have had was soon undermined when James M. Miller, a former Dearborn Independent employee, swore under oath that Ford had told him he intended to expose Sapiro.[5] According to Michael Barkun, "That Cameron would have continued to publish such controversial material without Ford's explicit instructions seemed unthinkable to those who knew both men. Mrs. Stanley Ruddiman, a Ford family intimate, remarked that "I don't think Mr. Cameron ever wrote anything for publication without Mr. Ford's approval".[6]
The Patriotic Publishing Co.
In 1934, The Patriotic Publishing Co., an unincorporated entity that operated out of a post office box [7] "Issued" and "Compiled and edited" The Protocols as an expanded 300-page tome. The expansion from less than 100 pages to 300 pages was made possible by copying substantial sections from The Dearborn Independent. Most of the later imprints of the Protocols are derived from this 1934 edition.

In June 1949 there appeared a 174 page one volume abridgment of the text, titled The International Jew, subtitled "The World's Foremost Problem", and edited by George F. Green[9] (who is not to be confused with the novelist and short-story writer of the same name). It was published by Green, editor of The Independent Nationalist [10] with the address at 56 Gloucester Road, New Barnet, Herts, England.
The book was also sold in the United States, where it was distributed by the Christian Nationalist Crusade.[11][12][48]

Klaus Fuchs was released in 1960 and moved to East Germany. David Greenglass was paroled later that year, and Harry Gold was paroled in 1966. Morton Sobell was released in 1969.[49]
June 1961: Italian archaeologist uncovered a dedication to Tiberius Caesar from “Pontius Pilate, Prefect of Judea” in an ancient Roman theater near Caesareah Maritimea, located halfway between Tel Aviv and Haifa. The confirmed the existence of the Roman ruler who presided over Jesus’s trial the night before he died.
June 1964: She resumed her West Coast operations out of San Diego until June 1964, then, she headed west again for advanced readiness training. She arrived back in San Diego in September 1964.
Scamp entered Mare Island Naval Shipyard again in January 1965 for extensive modification. In June 1966 after the installation of the SUBSAFE package and overhaul, she left Mare Island and returned to training cruises in the San Diego operating area.[50]
James Kirby was on board the Scamp and is the father in law of Jeffery Lee Goodlove.

June 1979: In a press conference in Nowshahr, on the Caspian, the Shah stated his plan to restore free political activity, starting with elections in June 1979, was irreversible, even if violence resulted. Iranian papers had reported anti-governemtnt riots in Tehran, Isfahan, and Shiraz.[52]
In Iran, Ayatollah Khomeini issued a statement from his French exile rejecting proposals for the formation of a Regency council to rule until the elections of June 1979. The prime minister banned all demonstrations and threatened severe measures against strikers.[53]
